Overview

Here at Oak Barn Vets, we have an exciting opportunity to welcome a part-time Client Care Assistant to join our team! In this role you will have the opportunity to develop and enhance your client service skills whilst working with a supportive and friendly team. We continue to support our associates in career development and encourage learning with ample in-house training courses and provide an additional training budget of £50.00 for further learning. As a practice we encourage our team to work to their full potential and appreciate the vital role our Client Care team brings to the clinic, clients and patients.

Role and responsibilities
  • Greeting clients and their pets upon arrival in a warm and friendly manner
  • Communicating directly with our vets and nurses regarding their appointments, clients and patients
  • Explaining to our clients the status of their accounts, taking payments and issuing invoices and advising on and helping to process insurance claims
  • Fielding of phone and electronic enquiries from clients and arrangement of routine and emergency appointments
  • Maintenance of patient clinical records using our practice management software system
  • Assistance with daily banking and debt management
  • Maintaining the appearance of the reception area to ensure a clean and welcoming environment
Hours

Within your new role you would be working mornings from 8:00-12:00 Monday to Friday. You will also have a share in the Saturday 8am to 1pm rota. There is room for some degree of flexibility with the weekday hours. Although not expected, you may on occasion be required to cover a late shift (15:00-19:00).
