Job summary

Medivet is seeking a Veterinary Care Assistant (VCA) to support veterinary nurses and vets with in-patient care and pet handling. The role focuses on delivering exceptional patient care and supporting clients and colleagues in a busy branch environment.

The position offers a 40-hour week over seven days with a fair weekend rotation at our Aston Clinton branch; weekend/bank holiday cover may be required to develop skills in a busy clinical setting.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering high-quality client care to pets and their families.
• Able to prioritise tasks and stay calm under pressure in a busy clinical environment.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a veterinary practice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional care to clients and support surgeries and procedures while complying with standards.
• Provide patient monitoring and care to pets, including walking, toileting and feeding.

As a Veterinary Care Assistant (VCA), you will support the veterinary nurses and vets with in-patient procedures and pet care, helping to deliver exceptional standards of care at all times. You will play an important role in supporting our clients, patients, and colleagues, always ensuring they feel valued, supported, and well cared for.

The working week is 40 hours over a 7 day period, with a fair weekend rotation at our Aston Clinton branch. You may also be required to provide weekend and bank holiday cover, offering further opportunities to develop your skills and gain valuable experience within a busy clinical environment.
