Job summary

NVA is seeking a veterinary assistant to support all teams in delivering high-quality care to clients and patients. Responsibilities include assisting with patient care, monitoring hospitalized animals, and aiding with diagnostic tests.

The role requires physical activity and ability to restrain animals, along with inventory management. Ideal candidates have 2+ years in a veterinary clinic, enjoy helping animals, and work well within a team.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• 2+ years of experience in a veterinary clinic.
• Self-starter and able to multitask.
• Enjoy working with animals and handle them when stressed or in pain.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient care and treatment.
• Monitor hospitalized pets and after-surgery care.
• Maintain inventory and stocking.
• Restrain animals during blood draws and nail trims.
• Assist with diagnostic tests (radiographs, bloodwork, fecal).
• Sterilize surgical instruments and equipment.
