Job summary

Boyce & Houston Vets in Clydebank is seeking an enthusiastic Animal Care Assistant to join our small animal practice. You will support the clinical team in delivering high standards of patient and client care, helping with inpatient care, handling and restraint, and maintaining a safe, clean practice environment.

Working pattern is Monday to Friday, with 8:30-5:30 or 9-6 shifts for a 12-month fixed-term, full-time basis.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with animals in a clinical or non-clinical setting would be advantageous
• Ability to work as part of a team and contribute to a supportive practice environment
• Good communication with colleagues and clients
• Proactive attitude to learning and development

Responsibilities

• Support inpatient care and assist with patient handling and restraint
• Help maintain clinical areas and equipment to high standards
• Contribute to a positive and compassionate experience for patients and clients
• Assist with theatre and routine clinical tasks as directed by veterinary staff
