Job summary

Medivet is seeking a Veterinary Care Assistant (VCA) to support nurses and vets with in-patient procedures and pet care, delivering exceptional care to clients, patients and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional care to clients and patients and support surgeries and procedures.
• Provide patient monitoring and assist with daily pet care tasks.

• Support day and night teams during 6pm–2am shifts.

About you

You’re skilled at providing exceptional client care and are passionate about caring for pets. You’re a team player who wants to make a real difference in a practice that values and supports you. We welcome applications from candidates able to prioritise, remain calm under pressure and who are flexible and willing to learn. This role is not suitable for young workers in line with Health and Safety Executive (government) direction due to the expected duties of the role. Therefore, you will be asked to confirm that you are over the age of 18 as part of the application process.

What you’ll be doing

Typically, in this role, you’ll:

• Deliver exceptional care to clients, supporting surgeries and procedures, complying with all regulatory, practice and operational standards
• Deliver patient monitoring and care to pets, including walking, toileting and feeding
• Work collaboratively within a supportive team
• Work 6pm-2am Monday - Friday to support our day and night teams
