Job summary

Medivet is seeking a Veterinary Care Assistant to support nurses and vets with in-patient procedures and pet care, delivering exceptional care to clients, patients, and colleagues. This full-time role includes weekend shifts on a 1 in 8 basis and offers structured support to help you develop.

Job description

As a Veterinary Care Assistant (VCA) you will support the nurse and vets with in-patient procedures and pet care delivering exceptional care always there to our clients, patients, and colleagues.

This role is not suitable for young workers in line with Health and Safety Executive (government) direction due to the expected duties of the role. Therefore, you will be asked to confirm that you are over the age of 18 as part of the application process.

• Deliver patient monitoring and care to pets, including walking, toileting and feeding

• This is a full time role including 1 in 8 weekends, Saturday and Sunday for which you will receive time off in lieu
• You will also be required to join our Bank Holiday and on call rotas
