We are looking for an enthusiastic Veterinary Care Assistant to join our team working at our main hospital in Thame and our branch surgeries in Princes Risborough and Chinnor.
As a Veterinary Care Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting the vet and nurse teams by maintaining a clean and hygienic environment, assisting with animal handling, working on reception, and in the lab. We welcome applications from those with experience and from individuals seeking a new challenge. Regardless, you will be part of a kind, caring, and dedicated team.
This role may lead to a Veterinary Nursing apprenticeship in the future. To progress, you will need to have 5 GCSEs grades 4-9 (or equivalent), including Maths, English, and a science subject.
Sprinz and Nash is a long-established Veterinary Hospital in the rural market town of Thame. We aim to maintain high clinical standards and provide a rewarding work/life balance. Our hospital offers in-house care for in-patients, with emergency out-of-hours services provided by VetsNow.
Our facilities include dental x-ray, in-house laboratory, endoscopy, ultrasound, digital x-ray, and separate wards for dogs, cats, and isolation. We are a friendly, forward-thinking, and supportive team of vets, nurses, VCAs, and client care staff. Our caseload is varied and busy, and we pride ourselves on teamwork. Our vets include certificate holders, and we are a Silver Cat Friendly Clinic.
This is a full-time role, working 40 hours across five 8-hour shifts. You will also participate in the 1:3 Saturday rota.
