Job description

As a Veterinary Care Assistant, you will be an integral part of the practice team.

Working with our Veterinary Surgeons, qualified Nurses, and Student nurses to provide exceptional care to our patients.

  • Provide a gold standard service to our patients and clients
  • Follow cleaning protocols to maintain the cleanliness of the clinical environment
  • Prepare and maintain medical equipment

40 hours a week, including some weekends, based at the Croxley practice.

Role Accountabilities:

In this role, you will:

  • Consistently deliver exceptional care to clients.
  • Support with operations and procedures.
  • Provide patient monitoring and care, including walking, toileting, and feeding.
  • Ensure completion of all pre- and post-operation activities.
  • Assist with patient transfers to out-of-hours or enhanced care.
  • Dispense medication under the guidance of the Veterinary team.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory, practice, and operational standards.
Your Skills and Experience:
  • Experience working as part of a team and building positive relationships with colleagues.
  • Ability to provide exceptional care to clients and patients.
  • Strong client care skills, with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage own workload.
  • Flexible and willing to learn.
  • Understanding of regulation and compliance importance.
