Inspiring Vet Care at Lamond Vets in Livingston is seeking a Veterinary Care Assistant to join our busy small animal practice. You will support inpatient care, assist with patient handling and help maintain clinical areas under supervision of a Veterinary Surgeon or RVN.

This full-time permanent role offers development through VCA programmes, a supportive team and opportunities to progress toward Student Veterinary Nurse roles within a values-driven culture.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, team-orientated Veterinary Care Assistant to join our team at Lamond Vets on a full-time permanent basis.

Established in 1952, Lamond Vets has a long-standing history within the local community. We’re a busy small animal practice caring for cats, dogs and other small pets, with a dedicated team who are passionate about making a difference to the lives of the animals in our care.

How You’ll Make a Difference

As a Veterinary Care Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting the clinical team to deliver high standards of patient and client care, while helping to ensure the practice environment runs smoothly and safely.

Working under the direction of a Veterinary Surgeon or Registered Veterinary Nurse, you’ll support inpatient care, assist with patient handling and restraint, help maintain clinical areas and equipment, and contribute to a positive and compassionate experience for both patients and clients.

Working Pattern

• Monday to Friday with occasional Saturday shift cover. Shifts can vary from 8-4, 9-5, 10-6 or 11-7.

• Helping to maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment for our patients, clients and colleagues.
• Supporting the nursing and veterinary teams with the day-to-day care of our patients.
• Assisting with the preparation and cleaning of clinical areas and equipment.
