Job summary

Medivet Group in London (New Cross Clinic) seeks a Veterinary Care Assistant to support nurses and vets in patient care and surgeries, delivering compassionate service to clients and their pets.

You'll be part of a friendly team, prioritising under pressure and may rotate weekends and bank holidays. The role offers training and a supportive environment within a busy practice.

Responsibilities

• Bank holidays rota as required.
• Role based at New Cross Clinic; some weekends may be at Camberwell hospital.

As a Veterinary Care Assistant (VCA) you will support the nurse and vets with in-patient procedures and pet care delivering exceptional care always there to our clients, patients, and colleagues. Your career means more than a rota and a job title, that's why we offer:

This role is not suitable for young workers in line with Health and Safety Executive (government) direction due to the expected duties of the role. Therefore, you will be asked to confirm that you are over the age of 18 as part of the application process.

What you'll be doing

Typically, in this role, you'll:

• Deliver exceptional care to clients, supporting surgeries and procedures, complying with all regulatory, practice and operational standards
• Deliver patient monitoring and care to pets, including walking, toileting and feeding
• Work collaboratively within a supportive team
• You will also be required to work weekends on a rotational basis ( 1 in 3 Saturdays or Sundays with time off in lieu)
• You will also be required to work BH on a rota basis depending on the needs of the clinic
• This role is based at our New Cross Clinic but weekend and BH working may also be based at our Camberwell hospital depending on the needs of the clinic
