Job description

As a Veterinary Care Assistant, you will be an integral part of the practice team.

Working with our Veterinary Surgeons, qualified Nurses, and Student nurses to provide exceptional care to our patients.

• Provide a gold standard service to our patients and clients
• Follow cleaning protocols to maintain cleanliness of the clinical environment
• Prepare and maintain medical equipment

This role involves working 40 hours a week, including 1:3 Saturdays, with mornings at Gatley and afternoons at Chorlton.

You will be included in the emergency on-call rota for Ashton and will work 1 bank holiday per year at Ashton.

Role Accountabilities:
At Medivet, exceptional care is at the heart of everything we do. You will:

  • Consistently deliver exceptional care to clients.
  • Support with operations and procedures.
  • Monitor and care for patients, including walking, toileting, and feeding.
  • Ensure completion of all pre- and post-operation activities.
  • Assist with patient transfers to out-of-hours or enhanced care.
  • Dispense medication under the guidance of the Veterinary team.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory, practice, and operational standards.
