Job summary

Vets for Pets is looking for a Veterinary Care Assistant to join our team across Oxford Botley, Didcot and Abingdon locations. You will assist with non-clinical duties, support colleagues, and help maintain high standards of patient care in a busy practice.

The role is full-time (40 hours per week) with weekend coverage on a 1 in 4 basis. We offer a friendly team and opportunities for progression within the group.

• Greet clients on arrival and assist with their pets.

• Assist with appointments, patient flow, and housekeeping as needed.
• Contribute to a warm, welcoming atmosphere across sites.

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and passionate Veterinary Care Assistant to join us at Oxford Botley, Didcot and Abingdon Vets for Pets.

Our practices are bright, spacious, air-conditioned and purpose built to industry leading standards and have state of the art equipment including digital X-Ray and in-house laboratory facilities.

You will assist all colleagues with non-clinical duties to support smooth running of the practice and provide the best standard of patient care.

This a great opportunity for someone who is looking to progress in the Veterinary Industry.

This is a Full Time Role working 40 Hours Per week with 1 in 4 Weekends.

Please note that while this role is contractually based at Abingdon Vets for Pets, the successful applicant will be working across our three sites; Abingdon Vets for Pets, Oxford Botley Vets for Pets & Didcot Vet for Pets.

• You can deal with everything that is thrown at you, from comforting a client who has had some bad news about their pet or sharing in the joy of a new puppy’s first visit to the vet.
• Your personality is infectious and along with your fellow colleagues, you create a welcoming and friendly atmosphere in the practice.
