Job summary

Finn Pathologists in the CVS Group UK is seeking a dynamic Veterinary Clinical Pathologist with diagnostic laboratory experience. You will examine digitally processed cytology and haematology submissions, with occasional roles in electrophoresis, biochemistry/endocrinology, and bone marrow histology cases.

You will prepare and issue high-standard clinical pathology reports, support residents and externs, share expertise with the wider CVS pathology team, and help develop professional

Qualifications

• Active MRCVS membership required.
• Board certification in veterinary clinical pathology (DipECVCP, DACVP, FRCPath, or equivalent) essential.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Examine digitally processed cytology and haematology submissions; may report on electrophoresis, biochemistry/endocrinology profiles, and bone marrow histology.
• Prepare and issue clinical pathology reports meeting high scientific standards and turnaround times.
• Contribute to pathology duties on a rotational basis; assist with client queries and support the wider team.
• Consult with other pathologists and interact with laboratory personnel to provide guidance.
• Answer queries related to case reports by phone or e-mail and advise on further testing.
• Support residents with training and teaching opportunities; participate in undergraduate teaching where appropriate.
• Promote laboratory growth through meetings and professional relationships.
