Job summary

Croydon Vets for Pets is seeking a Veterinary Care Assistant for a 12-month maternity contract. You will work full time, 40 hours per week, including 1 in 4 Saturdays, supporting a busy veterinary team and delivering high standards of client care.

The role covers duties such as clinic hygiene, patient monitoring, basic tests, stock management, assisting with operations, and talking to clients on the phone and in person. Training and support are provided to help you become an integral team member.

Qualifications

• Reliable team player with a passion for animals.
• Previous animal handling experience preferred.
• Good verbal communication and basic IT skills.

Responsibilities

• Keep the clinic clean, tidy and organised.
• Feed and monitor in-patients; run basic clinical tests.
• Manage stock and assist with operations.
• Handle a variety of small animals; speak to clients on the phone and in person.
• Support the team and ensure a welcoming client experience.
