A leading UK port business is seeking a dedicated Vessel Master (Relief) to oversee vessel navigation and compliance within the Marine Department. Qualifications

  • Proven command experience.
  • Dredging experience would be desirable.
  • Holds a valid ENG 1 Medical certification.
  • Minimum STCW Master CoC <3000 GT.
  • Possess crew training / ISM experience.

Responsibilities

  • Operation and navigation of the vessel in accordance with maritime laws and company procedures.
  • Managing the vessels’ ISM Compliance.
  • Supervision and training of crew.
  • Responding to emergencies and implementing safety drills and procedures.
  • Coordinating with Port authorities, contractors, and other stakeholders.

A vacancy has arisen for a dedicated, flexibleand reliablefull time Vessel Master (Relief) at PD Ports within the Marine Department.

Location: Marine Department, Vulcan Street, Middlesbrough, TS2 1LX

Working Arrangements: week on / week off

Salary Range: £48,857.00

The five main things our Vessel Master (Relief) will be working on are:

  • Operation and navigation of the vessel in accordance with maritime laws and company procedures.
  • Managing the vessels’ ISM Compliance.
  • Supervision and training of crew.
  • Responding to emergencies and implementing safety drills and procedures.
  • Coordinating with Port authorities, contractors, and other stakeholders.

We are seeking someone who:

  • Has proven command experience.
  • Dredging experience would be desirable.
  • Holds a valid ENG 1 Medical certification.
  • Minimum STCW Master CoC <3000 GT.
  • Possess crew training / ISM experience.

This is not a live aboard position
