Job summary

Boeing Defence UK (BDUK) is recruiting a Manager to lead a team delivering proposals, growth and governance across Chinook and Apache programmes. As the Vertical Lift Senior Integration & Future Programmes Manager you'll lead all aspects of programme performance and have line management responsibility for the core team of project managers and PMOs.

Boeing Defence UK (BDUK) are recruiting for a Manager to lead a team to deliver key proposals, growth and governance across Chinook and Apache programmes. As the Vertical Lift Senior Integration & Future Programmes Manager you'll lead all aspects of programme performance and have line management responsibility for the core team of project managers and PMO's. The role will support the Vertical Lift Leadership team in the mobilisation of new programmes, drive strong governance and ensure functional excellence and best practices are employed across the growing portfolio. This role also has oversight and accountability to deliver complex improvement projects to ensure sustainment services are executed flawlessly for our front line customers.,

• Leads execution of complex programme management execution activities across a portfolio of projects
• Responsible for leading a cross functional leadership team (PM and Support Functions) in a matrix organisation.
• Leads programme financial business reviews and hold P&L responsibility for assigned portfolio.
• Implements and maintains established processes for executing Programmes across multiple work packages (Technical, AC Maintenance, Material, Training)
• Prevents and resolves complex problems
• Integrates the implementation of the Programme Management Best Practices. Implements customer and programme communication and contact plans.

• Leads development of the programme architecture and top level plans for a programme.
• Develops programme organizational work structures, top level programme and execution plans. The ideal candidate will have a track record of successful programme delivery with first-class leadership and motivational skills to deploy programme leadership to a cross functional leadership team. They must be able to inspire outstanding work from team members with a range of experience and technical abilities. Other requirements include excellent interpersonal, communication and time management skills, with a strong knowledge of functional disciplines and experience of managing supply chain partners.

• Project & Programme Management - Extensive and specialized knowledge of Programme and Project Management theory, concepts and principles (e.g. risk and opportunity management, change management, critical path methodology, project scope and change management, resource estimating and management lifecycle).
• Programme Management Best Practices - Extensive and specialized knowledge of Boeing or equivalent industry recognised Programme Management Best Practices and theory.
• International Traffic in Arms Requirements - Knowledge of US ITAR requirements.
