Job Description

DEKA Research and Development, located in Manchester, NH, has an immediate opening for a Verification and Validation Test Engineer to work in a dynamic medical device R&D environment. Test Engineering is a high-visibility role with a significant, direct impact on the success of the project.

How you will make an impact as a Verification and Validation Test Engineer:
  • Developing and writing test procedures assessing end-to-end performance and reliability of user interfaces and hardware
  • Understanding device design and core technologies to inform test method development
  • Determining test coverage for design revisions
  • Creating and evaluating test fixtures for product design verification
  • Contributing to design failure investigations impacting Risk Assessments, Hazard Analyses, and FMEAs
  • Contributing toward regulatory and agency submissions
  • Authoring Test Summaries and other documentation
Skills and experience required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Physics, Biology, Electrical, Mechanical, or Biomedical Engineering
  • Experience with research, development, and product testing
  • Experience writing procedures for others to follow
  • Experience with data and failure analysis
  • Broad measurement instrument knowledge
  • Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals
  • Problem-solving skills and techniques
  • Ability to work as part of an interdisciplinary team
  • Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize tasks
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience in medical devices, knowledge of FDA QSRs, ISO 13485, and industry experience
