Job description

The Children’s Integrated Speech and Language Therapy Service for Hackney and the City is a collaboration between local health and education agencies, providing comprehensive services to children, young people, and families within Hackney and The City.

Verbo (www.verboapp.co.uk) is an award-winning online Speech and Language Therapy and Occupational Therapy Toolkit. It offers universal and targeted preventative care for children and young people from ages 2 to early adulthood. Our mission is to enhance communication skills across this age range.

This is a remote, work-from-home position. If you are local to Hackney, community office spaces are available for use. Travel requirements include:

1. At least three times a year to a team meeting in London
2. Attending conferences and exhibitions around the UK, which may include overnight stays
3. Management of IT equipment

Additionally, you will need to travel to Homerton for the recruitment process to show ID documents and possibly attend an Occupational Health appointment.

The post involves working collaboratively with the Verbo team, leading on marketing and communications efforts, including increasing brand awareness and supporting user engagement. You will work with band 6, 7, and 8a Speech and Language Therapists (SaLTs), external contractors, and other stakeholders to promote and embed Verbo’s developments.

You will support linking Verbo with settings and developing opportunities for communication development for caseload children and CPD for education staff and SaLTs. Participation in specialist projects within the Verbo team is also expected.

• The Homerton R&I Department
• Verbo customers and users (therapists, education staff, parents/carers)
