Women’s Rugby World Cup England 2025 (Women’s RWC 2025) will be the 10th edition of the women's tournament. World Rugby, in partnership with the Rugby Football Union (RFU) and UK Sport, have formed a Local Operating Company to plan and deliver the event.

Ambitions for the tournament are at an all-time high as women’s rugby is one of the fastest growing team sports in the world. Women’s RWC 2025 will be the ultimate stage for the best players, teams and coaches from 16 nations across the globe and is set to be the biggest and most widely watched women's rugby event ever. Women’s RWC 2025 LOC is looking to appoint a Venue Accreditation Manager to be responsible for liaising with a venue across the UK in addition to working closely with a number of key stakeholders to support in the delivery of the Accreditation project for the tournament. Reporting to the Accreditation Manager there will be a close working relationship with the operations teams and client groups within the LOC and World Rugby Events and Media.

Key Dates:

- Role will require two days of pre-tournament induction and readiness:

o York Venue Readiness Day – 27 June

- Role will start in full from 7 July

- From August you may be required to work up to six days per week

- Tournament Time: from 13 August – 8 September this role will be based in York

What you’ll be doing:

  • Quickly build, develop and maintain positive relationships with venue operators, client group leads, partners and stakeholders.
  • Train key stakeholders on the accreditation processes on venue
  • Provide daily status reports to the Accreditation Manager
  • Securely manage data collection for Accreditation processing
  • Liaise with key stakeholders on any errors/issues regarding submitted data
  • Organise production and distribution of Accreditation to key stakeholders on venue
  • Lead and manage the Venue Accreditation Centre onsite at tournament time
  • Manage a team of volunteers to carry out Accreditation operations
  • Support colleagues where necessary

Experience & knowledge you’ll need:

  • Experience within a major sporting event landscape or equivalent events in the accreditation functional area.
  • Knowledge of accreditation principles and processes in sports.
  • Demonstrable experience in using accreditation or data management systems.
  • Experience in communicating and liaising with a variety of different stakeholders on varying levels.
  • Experience in problem solving, issue resolution and open to change
  • Demonstrable experience of presenting to small and large groups
  • Experience in a fast-paced environment supporting multiple individuals across a varied portfolio of responsibilities.
  • All applicants must have a current and valid right to work in the UK

Please note that RWC25 will carry out the sourcing, interviewing, selection and offer stages of this recruitment process. Should you be successful for the role, please note that onboarding, engaging and payrolling will be handled by a third party. Accordingly, if you are successful for the role, you will need to enter into a contract for services as a PAYE worker (or limited company contractor) with this third party.
