Hamilton Lane, a global leader in private markets, seeks an Associate in the Venture and Growth Equity Team based in London. You will assist deal leaders with sourcing, evaluating and managing venture and growth equity opportunities across funds, co-investments and secondaries.

The role includes portfolio management support, client communication and business development back-up, with up to 20% travel. 3–5 years’ related experience and strong analytics are essential.

Qualifications

• Must-haves: 3-5 years’ of related experience.
• Strong interest in venture and technology investing.
• Excellent knowledge of analytics and qualitative factors crucial to venture and growth equity investment diligence.
• Undergraduate degree required.
• Thorough knowledge of Excel (modeling skills), Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Demonstrated interest in learning and responsibly applying approved AI tools to support research, analysis, and workflow improvement.
• Strong communication and relationship building skills.
• Strong initiative and independent performance are imperative.
• Ability to present and defend opinions and investment theses.

Responsabilités

• Support venture and growth equity investments, including funds, co-investments and secondaries.
• Conduct due diligence with financial analysis, market research, and competitive assessments.
• Lead due diligence meetings with General Partners and management teams.
• Prepare investment memos and presentations for decision-making.
• Sourcing new opportunities and managing the investment pipeline.
• Monitor existing investments and analyze financial reports.
• Prepare and present client materials.
• Manage day-to-day communication with General Partners.
• Assist in training Analysts.
• Oversee special projects like industry analyses and market studies.
