Qualifications

• 2–3 years of relevant investment experience; others may be considered.
• Hands‑on experience in direct Venture Capital secondary investments involving individual private companies.
• Experience underwriting or executing secondary purchases of existing shares in venture‑backed businesses.
• Strong financial modelling, valuation and investment analysis capabilities.
• Understanding private‑company capital structures, shareholder rights and secondary transaction mechanics.
• Experience conducting due diligence and preparing investment recommendations.
• Strong analytical, communication and commercial judgement skills.
• Ability to work within a lean investment team.

Responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate direct secondary investment opportunities in venture‑backed tech companies.
• Conduct market research, competitive analysis and sector assessments.
• Assess fundamentals, growth prospects, valuations and liquidity events.
• Support sourcing through relationships with investors, founders and market participants.
• Perform detailed financial analysis and valuation of private tech companies.
• Evaluate pricing, potential returns and downside risks for secondary deals.
• Analyse capital structures, shareholder structures and investment terms.
• Conduct due diligence on investment opportunities.
• Prepare investment recommendations for committee consideration.
• Assist with structuring, negotiations and documentation of transactions.
• Coordinate with legal advisers and internal stakeholders.
• Monitor portfolio performance, valuations and market developments.
• Support reporting and portfolio analysis.
