Job summary
Royal Papworth Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a proactive Clinical Nurse Specialist to join the Specialist Ventilatory Community Home Visit Service within the RSSC. You will provide expert clinical assessment and ongoing management for patients on home ventilation, delivering patient‑centred care in their own homes.
Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will educate patients and carers, support service development and quality improvement, and travel across the region to deliver
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse with current NMC registration and respiratory experience.
- Experience caring for patients with complex respiratory disease including ventilation.
- Ability to work independently within a multidisciplinary team.
- Experience educating patients, carers and healthcare professionals.
- Commitment to service improvement and professional development.
Responsibilities
- Specialist clinical care including comprehensive respiratory and ventilation assessments.
- Develop and optimise care plans in partnership with patients and carers.
- Provide education, advice and advocacy to promote safety and quality of life.
- Support staff development and share specialist knowledge across teams.
- Contribute to audit, quality improvement and service development.
- Collaborate with consultants, physios, ACPs, and primary care to coordinate care.
