A leading healthcare provider in Middlesbrough seeks a qualified nurse with extensive experience in vascular nursing. The role includes managing a clinical caseload, providing specialist nursing care, and acting as a key resource for colleagues. Applicants must have NMC registration and relevant qualifications. This part-time, permanent position offers a salary ranging from £38,682 to £46,580 per annum (pro rata).
Job summary
The post holder will be a qualified nurse with an extensive nursing experience within the field of
vascular nursing. They will have a record of career long learning and education and they will require highlydeveloped leadership, interpersonal relationship, and communication skills.
To ensure the provision of equitable specialist nursing care for patients require line placement overseeingdeep vein canulae placement, placing mid line and PICC lines.
To provide clinical support and provide expert nursing advice for all staff placing and caring for patients who require venous access
The post holder will manage a caseload of patients and work to ensure patients receive expert nursingadvice and care.
Main duties of the jobThe post holder will manage a clinical caseload and client group within the vascular access setting
Provide ongoing support service for both patients and carers.
Act as a key worker for all patients requiring line placement
Provide clinical expertise to primary/secondary care staff regarding the care of patients in this specialist group, acting as a resource for health care professionals, patients and carers,
To communicate treatment options and process.
Work with colleagues to develop patient information within the specialty acting as an advocate on behalf of both service users and carers when necessary
Provide physical, psychological and emotional support
Develop specialist protocols for the regular monitoring management
Comply with infection prevention policies and attend any appropriate training requirements in line with the Trusts responsibility to comply with government directives
To facilitate and the development of clinical practice amongst staff caring for patients with line placed so that needs of patients are met in a timely and sensitive manner, underpinned by specialist expertise, evidence based practice and research findings
Maintaining professional development whilst as an autonomous practitioner adhere to recognised standards (NMC) for specialist nurses
