A global banking partner in London is seeking a Vendor Management & Procurement Lead (VP) to optimize vendor relationships and contract negotiations in a hybrid work environment. The ideal candidate has proven experience in procurement, particularly in market data services, and strong negotiation skills. This role offers a chance to drive value in a leading investment bank with an initial 3-month contract, open to extensions.

On behalf of Deutsche Bank, we are looking for a Vendor Management Lead, VP for an initial 3-month contract (scope for extension). This is on a hybrid basis with 2 days/week in the London office (any 2 days).
Purpose of the role:
This is an exciting opportunity to join Deutsche Bank, one of the world's leading investment banks, as a Vendor Management Lead (VP).
In this high-impact role, you'll be at the forefront of optimising the bank's vendor relationships for critical market data and IT services. Supporting new process improvements within the procurement function, you will help drive commercial value, ensure regulatory compliance, and secure the best possible outcomes from key supplier negotiations.

What you'll do:
Lead the renegotiation of contracts with market data and IT vendors to optimise pricing, terms, and service delivery in line with Deutsche Bank's strategic goals.
Manage, analyse, and negotiate complex market data contracts.
Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors to ensure effective communication, issue resolution, and performance monitoring.
Identify and deliver cost savings through benchmarking, market analysis, and creative negotiation strategies.
Mitigate risks and ensure all contracts comply with relevant regulatory standards for the Financial Services industry.
Partner closely with stakeholders across IT, legal, finance, and procurement to align on requirements and deliver the best outcomes for the bank.
The skills you'll need:
Deep understanding of how market data vendors operate and how to secure optimal commercial terms.
Strong knowledge of contracts, including risk and regulatory considerations specific to banking vendor agreements.
Excellent negotiation skills, including experience handling single-supplier negotiations.
Relevant professional qualification such as CIPS (desirable but not essential).
