Vendor Management Associate

Location: UK, (Remote)

Length: 12 months

Rate: From £30.00 p/h (Inside IR35)

Hours: 40 hours per week

Overview:

The main function of a vendor management associate is to coordinate and manage vendor users on our clients' proprietary localization tools and to maintain approved vendor resource databases.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all external resources are appropriately provisioned on internal systems in compliance with company policy
  • Own communication with a diverse network of localization vendor companies
  • Create and execute vendor test, probation, and localization schedules
  • Review, prioritize, and track progress of issues that affect localization vendor operations and efficiencies
  • Work with vendors to ensure all assignments are understood, timelines are followed, and deliveries are completed correctly and on time
  • Analyse vendor workflow issues and provide optimal solutions
  • Support cross-functional teams and stakeholders (Program Management, Language Management, Engineering, etc.) to ensure localization requirements are implemented and localization process is well understood
  • Work with tooling teams to define Vendor Platform designs and automation
  • Improve and optimize internal and external processes and workflows

  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment

  • Evidence of strong communication skills – managing vendor or client stakeholders
  • Data tooling experience – Excel, Google Sheets
  • Experience leading a project to success

Typical day in the role:

  • Handling queries from vendors – daily communication with vendors
  • Supporting the biggest vendor, who is the most important – RWS
  • Managing a linguist pool of around 4000 linguists, including tooling and troubleshooting
  • Partnering with the vendor and monitoring performance
  • Joining weekly calls with the vendor and various initiatives

Education/Experience:

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
