Vehicle Welder required in Atworth, Wiltshire

Position Details
  • Salary: £36,504 annual starting salary pending experience plus bonus opportunities available.
  • Hours: 45 hours a week, Monday to Friday.

Our client, a commercial vehicle bodybuilder and part of a multi-award-winning dealer group, is recruiting for a Vehicle Welder at their Atworth centre.

Responsibilities
  • Welding of mild and stainless steel & alloys using MIG and TIG processes.
  • Measuring, cutting, and finishing welded works to high standards.
  • Maintaining tools and workstations.
  • Keeping the workstation clean, tidy, and fire-safe.
  • Training team members when applicable.
  • Using hand tools such as grinders, circular saws, and band saws.
  • Working independently to meet timelines and standards.
  • Maintaining good housekeeping in all work areas.
  • Supporting the business with additional tasks as directed by management.
  • Adhering to health and safety, maintenance, and quality procedures.
  • Practicing good timekeeping and conduct.
  • Following safety and regulatory rules and company policies.
Candidate Requirements
  • Experience with MIG and TIG welding.
  • Preferred but not essential: Coded welder qualification.
  • Own tools and a UK driving license with minimal points.
  • Formal qualifications in vehicle body building are a plus but not mandatory.
  • Attention to detail, health and safety awareness, good communication skills, and a positive attitude.
