Job summary

Switch in Salisbury is seeking a Vehicle Valeter (Quality Inspector) to join our rental operations. You will thoroughly clean vehicles and prepare them for rental, ensuring top quality. You will inspect pre- and post-rental conditions, report issues, maintain tidy bays, assist with vehicle delivery and collection, and follow safety guidelines.

A friendly team and clear progression paths await. This full-time role is 40 hours per week (Mon-Fri with Saturday on rotation) with a competitive salary

Qualifications

• Experience in vehicle valeting or similar is preferred.
• Ability to work to high standards for rental vehicles.
• Good communication and teamwork within a busy branch.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all vehicles are thoroughly cleaned and prepared for rental according to company standards.
• Conduct thorough inspections for pre and post-rental damage, reporting any issues to the Branch Manager.
• Perform de-bowse tasks in line with safety guidelines.
• Complete fuel sheets accurately, recording all readings.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas, including bays and store rooms.
• Assist with the preparation of sales vehicles, including livery removal and minor damage polishing.
• Ensure the security of the compound and vehicles.
• Conduct daily checks on equipment to ensure proper functionality.
• Record all vehicle damage accurately and report it to the office for further investigation.
• Manage the yard to keep vehicles organized and secure.
• Adhere to all company policies, procedures and safety regulations.
• Assist with vehicle delivery and collection as required.
