Job Title: Vehicle Test Technician (952)
Location: Cranfield
Pay: £18.64 - £19.67 per hour

We are seeking a Vehicle Test Technician to join a globally recognised automotive company in Cranfield. This is a long-term contract role with the potential to last several years.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Vehicle development, test and validation of function, operation & reliability:
2. Fundamental understanding of vehicle dis-assembly, assembly, & maintenance techniques
3. Vehicle system knowledge with the ability to fault find
4. Understanding of component measurement techniques
5. Instrumentation set-up
6. Understanding of vehicle diagnostic tools
7. Data acquisition & report writing
8. Facility & instrumentation calibration
9. Preparation / building / maintenance of vehicles or components for test in line with local procedures and Nissan Engineering Manuals
10. Support Testing in static and dynamic conditions to gather accurate, timely, and quality test data/results
11. Support Evaluation and concern identification including liaison with Test Engineer
12. Support delivery of Key Performance Indicators for the section
13. Use skills to provide support to other sections as required

Qualifications & Experience Required:

1. C&G / BTEC L3 would be preferable, ideally in mechanical, electrical or automotive engineering with a recognised apprenticeship or qualification within a relevant field
2. Fully proficient in the fundamental practical mechanical / electrical skills required for this role (preferably automotive)
3. Ability to work safely and to comply with legal and company safety policies
4. Fully proficient Excel data management and producing graphs
5. A good knowledge of Word and PowerPoint for report writing & presentation preparation
6. Excellent organisational skills
7. Strong attention to detail
8. Be able to work independently to manage and prioritise their own workload
