Job description

Job Introduction

Due to continuing growth, we are recruiting for Vehicle Technicians to join the Listers Group across Northampton, working with brands such as Honda, MG, and Listers U.

Our packages and new pay plans are industry-leading and reflect each applicant's experience and skillset.

Basic salaries up to £34,000.
Bonus / OTE’s up to £43,000.

Role And Responsibilities
  • Servicing, repair, and diagnostics of all vehicles in the workshop, ensuring work is first-time right.
  • Electrical and mechanical repairs, including suspension, steering, brakes, wheel bearings, driveshafts, exhausts, and air conditioning servicing.
  • Additional responsibilities include repairs on EV and Hybrid vehicles, using electronic diagnostic equipment, focusing on batteries, drive motors, auxiliary drive packs, and control systems.
  • Fitting manufacturer accessories and audio equipment.
  • Understanding customer satisfaction and its impact on the business.
  • Operating systems such as video reporting (e.g., Citinos), with training provided.
  • Completing all service paperwork to manufacturer and brand standards.
  • Collaborating with workshop team members to share knowledge and learn.
About You
  • Experience in the automotive sector as a Vehicle Technician, Mechanic, HGV Mechanic, HGV Technician, Motor Mechanic, Motor Vehicle Technician, Car Mechanic, HGV Fitter, Auto Electrician, MOT Tester, or Apprentice Vehicle Technician.
  • Experience at independent garages, fast-fit centers, car supermarkets, or main dealers is welcome.
  • Minimum NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, or working towards it.
  • Electric and Hybrid vehicle qualifications are advantageous but not essential; training provided.
  • Right to live and work in the UK.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge, with a commitment to high standards.
