Job summary

Royal Mail is recruiting a Level 3 qualified vehicle mechanic at West Midlands Workshop on a permanent contract. You will perform inspections, diagnostics and repairs on a range of vehicles, using your own toolkit in a modern, fully equipped workshop.

The role offers a structured shift pattern and overtime opportunities with earnings potential up to £70k. Working hours are 39.5 per week on a rotating shift with weekend work on a 1 in 3 basis.

Qualifications

• IMI Level 3 qualification in Light or Heavy Vehicle (or equivalent).
• Own toolkit for standard repairs.
• Valid UK driving licence, preferably HGV with trailer experience.
• Flexible to service demands and shift rota.

Responsibilities

• Perform a full range of inspections, diagnostics, maintenance and repair on vehicles, trailers and equipment.
• Use personal toolkit for routine maintenance and repairs on light/heavy vehicles.
• Access specialist tooling and shared equipment in modern, fully equipped workshops.
