Job summary

Perfect Placement are working with a reputable main dealer in Luton to recruiting an experienced Vehicle Technician to join their established team. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified professional to work within a family-run automotive business renowned for quality service and staff development.

The role focuses on servicing, diagnostics and repairs to manufacturer standards, with a basic salary around £35,000 negotiable based on experience and an OTE of £40,000.

Qualifications

• Qualified Vehicle Technician with NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
• Experience in a professional workshop environment.
• Strong mechanical and diagnostic capabilities.
• Good understanding of modern vehicle technology.
• Excellent attention to detail and high standards of workmanship.
• Ability to work efficiently both independently and within a team.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• MOT Tester qualification is advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out servicing and routine vehicle maintenance.
• Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults.
• Using the latest diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately.
• Performing repairs on brakes, suspension, steering, and other mechanical components.
• Conducting vehicle inspections and safety checks.
• Identifying additional work and reporting findings effectively.
• Ensuring all work is completed to manufacturer standards and specifications.
• Maintaining high standards of workmanship and productivity.
• Adhering to health and safety procedures.
• Collaborating effectively within a professional workshop team.
