Job description

PDI VEHICLE TECHNICIAN.

Hedin Automotive BMW & MINI has a great opportunity for a PDI Vehicle Technician to join our workshop prep team. As an approved BMW Dealer, you will work on the full range of BMW & MINI vehicles, develop your skills using the latest service technology and receive bespoke training at the BMW UK Training Academy.

YOUR ROLE.

As the PDI Vehicle Technician you will be responsible for ensuring vehicles are thoroughly checked, tested and prepared before reaching the customer. Your work will be of the highest standard and workmanship, using the equipment provided.

The main duties of the role include:

  • Carry out vehicle inspections on all new and used vehicles
  • Vehicle maintenance repairs, such as breaks pads, servicing, programming, and fitting of accessories as well as any other necessary minor work
  • Reporting any vehicle defects
  • Road test vehicles where appropriate
  • Work closely with the sales and service team to meet delivery deadlines
  • Document all work performed on each vehicle, ensuring records are accurately completed and submitted promptly

YOUR PROFILE.

  • IMI Level 2/3 Motor Vehicle Service and Maintenance qualification or equivalent
  • IMI Electric/Hybrid Vehicle Maintenance qualification at Level 2 + or equivalent
  • Proven experience working at a main dealer manufacturer or national or independent service/repair
  • Valid, and clean manual UK Driving Licence and must be eligible to work in the UK

SALARY AND HOURS.

Basic Salary: £30,000 OTE £35,000 + per annum

Working hours, Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm.
