Octane Recruitment in Colchester is seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician to join a close-knit, family-run workshop. You will work across a wide range of makes and models, carrying out diagnostics, repairs, and routine maintenance to a high standard.

The role offers a stable, weekday schedule (Mon-Fri, 8:00am-5:30pm), no weekend work, and a salary of £36,000-£42,000 DOE. You will benefit from training, career progression, and a supportive team in a friendly environment.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) required.
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Vehicle Technician.
• Confident using diagnostic equipment.
• Full UK driving licence.
• No weekend working and no targets mentioned in role.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair faults across engine and drivetrain systems.
• Carry out routine servicing and maintenance.
• Use diagnostic tools to resolve complex issues.
• Maintain accurate records of work.
