Job summary

Renault Swansea workshop is seeking a Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester to join the team. The role offers a 40-hour week with 8:30am–5:00pm hours, plus a Saturday rota. Basic salaries from £37k–£38k with OTE up to £43,700 and uncapped bonus opportunities in a modern, supplier-backed environment.

You’ll perform servicing, diagnostics and MOT testing, with manufacturer training and a clear career path. UK driving licence required.

Qualifications

• Level 3 IMI, NVQ or equivalent Motor Vehicle qualification.
• Experience carrying out servicing, repairs and diagnostic work.
• MOT Tester licence (Class 4 and 7) advantageous.
• A professional approach with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a workshop team.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing, maintenance and repair work in line with manufacturer standards.
• Undertake diagnostic, fault-finding and electrical repair activities.
• Complete MOT testing where qualified.
• Follow workshop processes, quality standards and health and safety requirements.
• Road-test vehicles where required as part of diagnosis and quality control procedures.
• Use workshop systems and manufacturer platforms to accurately record completed work.
