Job summary

Octane Recruitment Ltd is recruiting for an experienced Vehicle Technician to join a busy main dealership in Nottingham. You will perform servicing, maintenance and repairs, and carry out MOT testing where qualified, with a focus on accurate documentation and high workmanship standards.

The role is based in Nottingham, with Monday to Friday hours and an up-to £36,000 basic salary plus bonus and overtime, and an OTE up to £42,500 per annum. A current MOT Tester Licence is required for MOT duties.

Qualifications

• Experience as Vehicle Technician or Automotive Technician in a workshop setting.
• MOT Tester Licence required to carry out MOT testing duties.
• Experience in busy main dealership workshop is preferred.
• Strong servicing, maintenance and repair skills.
• Good diagnostic and mechanical fault-finding ability.

Responsibilities

• Carry out vehicle servicing, maintenance and repairs.
• Complete MOT testing in accordance with DVSA regulations where qualified.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults.
• Carry out vehicle health checks and safety inspections.
• Identify additional repair and maintenance requirements.
• Complete accurate job cards and workshop documentation.
