Job summary

Perfect Placement is recruiting an Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester for an independent garage in Paignton, Devon. The role covers MOT testing, servicing, diagnostics, and repairs in a modern workshop.

With a level 3 qualification and at least 3 years' experience, you will work to DVSA standards, complete detailed service records, and ensure health and safety compliance. The position offers a competitive salary and weekday hours.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification in Motor Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
• Minimum 3 years' experience as Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester.
• Valid MOT licence (preferred but not essential).
• Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Conduct MOT tests in accordance with DVSA standards as a Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester.
• Perform routine servicing, maintenance, and repairs on a range of vehicles.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues efficiently as a Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester.
• Complete accurate documentation and maintain detailed service records.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.
• Work independently or alongside team members as required in the role of Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester.
