Job summary

A well-known automotive dealership in Wallasey is seeking a skilled MOT Tester / Vehicle Technician. You will perform MOT tests, diagnose and repair vehicle faults, and carry out servicing. The ideal candidate will have an MOT Tester licence and NVQ / IMI Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance. Job description

The Role

We are working with a large multi-brand used car dealership in Wallasey looking for a skilled MOT Tester / Vehicle Technician. You'll be responsible not only for carrying out MOTs to DVSA standards but also doing general workshop repair, diagnostics and servicing when required.

What You'll Do
  • Perform MOT tests and ensure compliance with current DVSA standards
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical & electrical faults
  • Carry out servicing & safety inspections
  • Maintain accurate records/job cards
  • Work to dealership quality, safety, and customer service expectations
What We Are Looking For
  • MOT Tester licence (Class 4 or equivalent)
  • NVQ / IMI Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent)
  • Strong diagnostic ability and experience with workshop tools & systems
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Clean, quality-focused, able to work independently and as part of a team
Salary & Benefits
  • Basic salary £32,000-£45,000 depending on experience and qualifications
  • Bonus / OTE scheme with scope to exceed base salary
  • Standard working week (5 days), with 1 in 4 Saturdays
