MOT Tester/Technician Required in Eastbourne, East Sussex!

• Basic Salary £30,000 OTE £37,200
• Franchised main dealer
• Monday – Friday 08:00 – 17:00
• NO WEEKENDS

Our client, a main vehicle dealership with sites across the South East, is currently seeking a Vehicle Technician for their busy workshop in the Eastbourne area.

Duties of an MOT Tester/Vehicle Technician with our client

• Complete MOTs in line with government standards within allocated time slots
• Carry out repairs and servicing to vehicles, as instructed, to the highest possible standard
• Interpret instructions from the job card/repair order, follow all documented quality procedures, and comply with repair instructions and manufacturer’s manuals
• Obtain necessary technical information by following documented procedures, attend training, and stay updated with latest technical information
• Plan, carry out, check, and test all work to the highest standard and efficiency; report repair difficulties immediately
• Accurately report and record work done, tests carried out, and vehicle faults; report any further work required
• Protect and care for customers' and the company's property; drive and road test vehicles following procedures
• Maintain a clean and tidy work area; remove scrap immediately after repairs
• Follow health and safety guidelines
• Maintain good relationships with staff and customers
• Perform additional duties as agreed with management

• Experience within a main dealer environment as an MOT Tester/Technician
• Class 4 MOT Licence
• Competency in numeracy and literacy
• Strong attention to detail
• Good organisation skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

• Ideally NVQ Level 3 Qualified or equivalent
• MOT Licence
• Right to work within UK
