Location: Danderhall, Dalkeith, EH22 1QX
Salary: £34,000 £42,000 DOE, with opportunity to progress to Senior Technician!
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM 5:30 PM (No Weekends)

The Role
As a Junior Vehicle Technician / Mechanic, youll carry out a wide range of maintenance and repair tasks while developing your skills through hands-on experience and support from senior team members.
You will also have the opportunity to progress and grow into a Senior Technician role to progress your career!
Your day-to-day may include:
Carrying out servicing, repairs, and maintenance on light vehicles
Diagnosing faults using modern diagnostic tools
Replacing timing belts, clutches and other key components (would be beneficial but no required)
Tyre fitting (training provided)
Air conditioning recharging
Wheel alignment (training provided)
Road testing vehicles to confirm successful repairs
Completing job cards and service records accurately
Contributing to a clean, safe and well-organised workshop
Maintaining high quality standards and a positive team environment
Access to ongoing training and development opportunities
What Were Looking For
Essential:

Minimum of 1 year qualified mechanical experience - including non-UK qualifications and hands-on experience without formal certification (must have right to work in the UK)
Minimum 4 years experience for non-UK qualifications and hands-on experience without formal certification
A full UK driving licence
Right to work in the UK required.
A genuine passion for vehicle maintenance and repair
Good problem-solving ability and attention to detail
A team-oriented mindset with a can-do attitude
Willingness to learn and grow

Desirable:

Your own tools
Experience in tyre fitting, A/C, or wheel alignment
