Vehicle Technician / Mechanic

Looking to join a dynamic team as a Vehicle Technician? Lookers Chester Nissan is recruiting for a skilled technician to join our workshop. You will work alongside experienced professionals, performing vehicle health checks, services, and repairs using the latest technology.

Hours:

Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm, and alternate Saturdays, 8:30am - 12:30pm.

Role Overview:

Reporting to the Aftersales Manager, you will be supported with ongoing training and development, including manufacturer schemes and Hybrid & Electric training. Our technicians are vital to delivering first-class customer service and maintaining our reputation for excellence.

Responsibilities:

1. Perform vehicle health checks with modern technology.
2. Conduct vehicle services according to manufacturer guidelines and customer requests.
3. Complete additional repairs with customer approval.
4. Carry out warranty repairs following manufacturer protocols, ensuring proper documentation.
5. Road test vehicles post-repair to verify faults are resolved.
6. Maintain high standards in all paperwork and documentation.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent, with industry experience. A valid UK driving license is essential. We value self-motivation, teamwork, ambition, eagerness to learn, and high standards of work. Previous brand experience is a plus but not essential, as training will be provided. Experience with diagnostics, MOT, and EV repairs is desirable but not mandatory.
