Job Title: Vehicle Technician
Location: Basildon
Rate: £23.24ph increasing to £28.75ph via an Umbrella Company (Inside IR35)
Employment Type: Contract (6 months)
Hours: Standard 37.5 Hours Per Week

Job Description:

The role is for a Vehicle Technician. The technician will interface with workshop and test facilities to achieve set tasks and goals.

Skills Required:
  1. Work as a member of a team to keep vehicles updated with correct hardware and controls.
  2. Arrange installation of required instrumentation with relevant workshop groups.
  3. Organize vehicle test fleet activities, including climatic testing in chambers and test trips.
  4. Arrange shipment of vehicles and equipment as required.
  5. Carry out administrative duties, including documentation of vehicles such as registration and tax.
  6. Coordinate and keep records, including shipping documentation and requisitioning equipment and materials.
  7. Work according to plans to support the calibration team.
Experience Required:
  • Experience in Vehicle Testing and Powertrain Calibration activities.
Preferred Experience:
  • Ability to log data using calibration tools and update control modules as required.
Education Required:
  • Engineering-related qualification.
Additional Information:

Start: End of June / Beginning of July 2025.

This role is INSIDE IR35.
