Job summary

Halfords is hiring a Vehicle Technician in Birmingham, offering a base salary of £33,000–£36,620 plus an uncapped bonus scheme with average £6,600 per year. On-target earnings can reach up to £43,220.

The role involves servicing, diagnostics and more complex repairs, with opportunities for ATA/MOT qualifications and career progression. We operate with 5 days a week and provide employee benefits including discounts, health plan, and pension options.

Qualifications

• Must have a Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or time served experience.
• Must have a full drivers licence with no more than 9 points.
• Experienced Technician/Mechanic able to carry out diagnostic work and more complex repairs.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing and repair/replacement work.
• Perform diagnostics and complex repairs (brakes, steering, suspension, engines).
