At Babcock, we’re working to create a safe and secure world. Join us as an Apprenticeship Coach at our Land Training division and play a vital role in supporting the British Army's equipment, including fleet management of over 50,000 vehicles.

The role

As a Vehicle Technician - Apprenticeship Coach, you will visit workplace learners, using your vocational experience to deliver training, coaching, assessing, and supporting them to complete their apprenticeships.

  • Support, motivate, and coach learners through their apprenticeship programs, ensuring timely completion and compliance with awarding bodies, ESFA, and Ofsted standards.
  • Monitor and review learner progress according to customer expectations.
  • Complete all required documentation accurately and on time.
  • Provide guidance on portfolio building based on program requirements.
  • Record, plan, and track learner progress effectively.

This full-time, permanent role is fully remote with travel to sites in Tidworth, Lyneham, Warminster, Colerne, Larkhill, Bulford, and St Athan. Flexible working arrangements may be considered.

Essential experience

  • Extensive experience in vehicle mechanics
  • Understanding of work-based learning programs
  • Experience in the defense sector, ideally within the army (desired, not essential)

Qualifications

  • Industry-related qualification (Vehicle Mechanic minimum Level 3)
  • Maths and English GCSE grade C or above (or equivalent)

Security Clearance

The successful candidate must achieve and maintain Enhanced DBS and Child Barring Service (EDBSCBL) security clearance.

Roles may be subject to national security clearance and trade restrictions based on nationality, citizenship, and residency.
