Job summary

Hawk Hiring LTD in Blackpool is seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician to join a busy automotive workshop. This Monday–Friday role offers a competitive £35,000–£40,000 salary and a rewarding bonus structure within a positive working environment.

You will work on MOT tests, servicing, repairs and diagnostics across cars, vans and light commercial vehicles, using modern diagnostic equipment and OE parts in line with DVSA standards.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
• Minimum 3 years' experience as Vehicle Technician/Motor Mechanic.
• MOT Tester licence preferred.
• Full UK driving licence and strong diagnostic abilities.

Responsibilities

• MOT tests in line with DVSA standards.
• Servicing, maintenance and mechanical repairs.
• Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults.
• Brake, suspension, clutch and timing belt work.
• Using diagnostic equipment to identify faults.
• Maintain high standards of workmanship and safety.

What You'll Be Doing

• Carrying out MOT tests in line with DVSA standards
• Completing servicing, maintenance and mechanical repairs
• Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults
• Carrying out brake, suspension, clutch and timing belt work
• Using diagnostic equipment to identify and resolve faults
• Maintaining high standards of workmanship
• Ensuring all work is completed safely and efficiently

Requirements

• Minimum Level 2 or Level 3 NVQ in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
• At least 3 years' experience as a Vehicle Technician / Motor Mechanic
• MOT Tester licence preferred
• Strong mechanical and diagnostic abilities
• Ability to work independently and within a team
• Full UK driving licence
