Job summary

Planet Recruitment is recruiting experienced Vehicle Technicians to join a prestigious automotive manufacturer on an End-of-Line (EOL) Rework Project. You will carry out inspections, diagnostics and repairs to ensure vehicles meet high standards before final release.

Based in the UK, the role offers fixed shifts, outside IR35, and a minimum 6-month contract. Competitive hourly rate of £23-£24 ph with Monday to Friday work, supporting a fast-paced production environment.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Automotive Qualification or equivalent.
• Proven vehicle technician experience in the automotive industry.
• Experience with diagnostics and End-of-Line rework.
• Strong fault-finding skills across mechanical and electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Carry out End-of-Line (EOL) inspections, fault finding and rectification work.
• Perform mechanical, electrical and trim-related repairs.
• Support vehicle build, strip-down and rework activities as required.
• Diagnose faults using appropriate diagnostic equipment and technical documentation.
• Ensure all work meets strict quality, safety and manufacturer standards.
• Work collaboratively with engineering, quality and production teams to resolve technical issues.
• Maintain exceptional attention to detail in a fast-paced production environment.

Planet Recruitment is currently recruiting experienced Vehicle Technicians to join a prestigious automotive manufacturer on an exciting End-of-Line (EOL) Rework Project.

This is an excellent opportunity for skilled technicians to work on high-performance vehicles within a fast-paced, quality-driven production environment, playing a key role in ensuring vehicles meet the highest standards before final release.

The Role

As an EOL Rework Vehicle Technician, you will be responsible for carrying out vehicle inspections, diagnostics, repairs and rectification work as part of the final production process. Working alongside engineering, quality and production teams, you will help identify and resolve faults, support vehicle build activities and ensure all work is completed to exacting quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out End-of-Line (EOL) inspections, fault finding and rectification work.
• Perform mechanical, electrical and trim-related repairs.
• Support vehicle build, strip-down and rework activities as required.
• Diagnose faults using appropriate diagnostic equipment and technical documentation.

Essential Requirements

• Level 3 Automotive Qualification or equivalent.
• Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician within the automotive industry.
• Experience in vehicle diagnostics, rework, production build or End-of-Line activities.
• Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills.
• Confidence using diagnostic equipment and interpreting technical documentation.
• Ability to work to tight deadlines while maintaining high standards of workmanship.
• A proactive approach, excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
• Experience within a high-performance, motorsport or prestige automotive environment would be highly advantageous.

Pay and working hours:

• £23-24 phr - Outside IR35
• Monday to Friday
• Contract - Minimum of 6 months
• Shift Pattern: 05:30 - 14:15 or 14:45 - 23:30 ( Fixed shifts )
