Job summary

Flat Fee Recruiter’s client, a growing independent garage, seeks an experienced Vehicle Technician to join a new 3,600 sq ft workshop in Wetherby. You will work closely with the owner, take ownership of your work and grow with the business.

The role offers a £35,000–£42,000 salary (depends on experience), full-time permanent hours (Mon–Fri), and a performance/quality bonus. MOT experience is desirable and eligibility to work in the UK is required.

Qualifications

• Experienced Vehicle Technician or Motor Mechanic with strong servicing, repair and diagnostic abilities.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks.
• Comfortable working across different vehicle makes and models.
• MOT qualification or experience would be a major advantage.
• Authorisation to work in the UK is required.

Vehicle Technician / Mechanic

• £35,000–£42,000, depending on experience
• Full Time, Permanent | Monday–Friday

• MOT experience desirable

Our client is a successful independent garage entering an exciting stage of growth. You’ll be its first key technical hire, working closely with the owner, with genuine scope to develop your role as the garage expands.

What You’ll Do

• Service, repair and maintain a wide range of makes and models
• Diagnose faults and assess repair requirements and labour times

• Help maintain excellent workshop standards

About You

• Experienced Vehicle Technician or Motor Mechanic

• Excellent attention to detail and pride in your workmanship
• Comfortable working across different vehicle brands
• MOT qualification or experience would be a major advantage

The garage does not currently offer MOTs, but plans to introduce them. An experienced MOT Tester could help bring this service in sooner.
