A leading auto services provider in the West Midlands is seeking a Vehicle Technician & MOT Tester to join their team in Worcester. This role involves performing service operations, conducting MOT tests, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. The ideal candidate must hold an NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, possess a full UK driving license, and ideally have a MOT license. This position offers 23 days of annual leave plus bank holidays, with a competitive bonus scheme and a 42.5-hour workweek with no weekends.

Qualifications

Location: Worcester
Hours: Working 42.5 hours a week Monday to Friday NO WEEKENDS!

Are you an enthusiastic, team player, hard working Vehicle Technician/MOT Tester looking for a new opportunity or challenge within a Car Dealership?

Responsibilities of a Vehicle Technician/MOT Tester
Performing a variety of service operations
Testing tyres, wheel alignment, exhausts, batters, welding, cutting
Basic and advanced knowledge of suspension and brakes
Ensure that all deadlines are met making sure all vehicles are tested in accordance with legal standards.
Good technical skills
Defined assembly operations and maintenance repairs with the highest level of quality and efficiency
Ensure compliance with safety and manufacturer standards
Accurately document service work

Skills and Qualifications of a Vehicle Technician/MOT Tester
MUST HOLD an NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent qualification in motor vehicle engineering
Preferably a MOT License Class 4 - Class 7 Not Essential but Preferred
Previous Vehicle Technician experience within the automotive industry
Hold your own tools and toolbox
MUST HOLD Full manual UK Driving License
