We’re recruiting an IMI Level 3 qualified mechanic at our North West Hub Workshop on a permanent contract, with the potential to earn up to £70k including overtime.
Working Hours
- Full time - 39.5 hours per week (Rotating 3-week shift pattern; weeks 1 & 2: working between 06:00 - 14:00, week 3: working between 13:00 - 21:30).
- Saturday and Sunday working is 1 in 3 weeks (1 Saturday and 1 Sunday in 3 weeks), e.g., Monday and Tuesday off then working Wednesday to Sunday.
- Permanent Night Shift also available: Monday to Friday, 9pm - 6am, finishing at 6am Saturday. Night shift allowance of £126.08 per week plus a £50 weekend allowance applies.

About the Role
With a fleet of over 49,000 vehicles, including fuel and electric vehicles, LCVs, and HGVs, maintaining our vehicles is a team effort. - Perform inspections, diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on vehicles, trailers, and mechanical equipment.
- Use your personal toolkit for routine maintenance and repairs on light/heavy goods vehicles.
- Access specialist tools and shared equipment in our modern workshops.
About You
- Qualified mechanic: Fully qualified to an advanced level (IMI Level 3 in Light or Heavy vehicle or equivalent). Own toolkit for standard repairs.
- Varied vehicle experience: Proven experience working on a wide range of vehicles, preferably HGV.
- Valid UK driving licence: Full manual UK driving licence, preferably with HGV and trailer experience.
- High standards: Pride in your work and commitment to quality.
- Flexible: Willing to work on a flexible shift rota and support your team as needed.
