Job Title: Vehicle Technician
Location: Basildon, Essex
Salary: £38,000.00 - £42,000.00 per year plus overtime
Hours: 07:30 am - 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday

Job Summary

An exciting opportunity is available for a skilled and experienced Vehicle Technician to join a busy and professional independent garage. This role offers the chance to work on a wide variety of vans, trucks, and trailers, supported by a strong team and access to the latest diagnostic equipment. If you are a qualified Vehicle Technician looking for long-term career development, this could be the perfect fit.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carrying out inspections to DVSA standards
  • Performing general service, maintenance, and repair work on a variety of vehicles
  • Diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults using both general and manufacturer-specific diagnostic tools
  • Attending occasional offsite jobs for diagnostics, inspections, and minor repairs
  • Ensuring high standards of workmanship, safety, and housekeeping at all times
What We're Looking For
  • Recognised qualifications (City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)
  • At least 2 years of relevant mechanical experience
  • A full UK driving licence (required)
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
  • Good communication and IT skills for workshop systems
  • A proactive attitude, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • A willingness to learn and keep up with changing vehicle technologies
Working Hours & Pay

07:30 am - 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday
Shift allowance and overtime available
