Job summary

Octane Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Vehicle Technician in Stockport for a long-term position at a leading independent car service centre. The role offers a competitive salary up to £38,000 with overtime and excellent progression opportunities.

You will perform servicing and maintenance, diagnose electrical/mechanical/hydraulic faults, and contribute to warranty work. A full UK driving license is required, with MOT duties possible if qualified.

Qualifications

• NVQ, IMI, City & Guilds or Mechanical Engineering Level 3 (or equivalent) demanded.
• Level 2 accepted if you have main dealership experience.
• MOT license would be beneficial but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing and maintenance of all vehicles.
• Electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic fault diagnosis and repair, including warranty work.
• MOT testing duties if qualified.

Salary – Up to £38,000 Basic + Overtime at 1.25x pay DOE & Qualifications

Hours – Monday – Friday - 8am - 5:30pm, Saturday mornings on a rota (8am-1pm)
